Each week we post a devotion with a stewardship focus based on the lectionary readings for weekend Mass.
What is Stewardship and why does it matter?
Stewardship is more than simply giving—it’s a way of life. At Good Shepherd Parish, we understand stewardship as the thoughtful and faithful management of all the gifts God has entrusted to us: our time, talents, and treasure. By embracing stewardship, we honor God, serve our community, and help further the mission of our parish.
Stewardship matters because it transforms lives. It allows us to grow spiritually, make a meaningful impact on those around us, and ensure that our parish remains a vibrant, welcoming place for worship, learning, and service. Every gift—large or small—is a reflection of God’s love and grace in action.

Advent Week 2 - Peace
John the Baptist, sitting in uncertainty, sends word to Jesus to ask if He is truly the Messiah. Jesus answers not with explanations but with signs of healing, restoration, and hope. True peace isn’t found in perfect circumstances—it comes from recognizing Christ’s steady presence and trusting Him right where we are.
Where in my life am I longing for peace or clarity? This week, pause each day to notice one small sign of God’s goodness—a quiet moment, a gentle word, a simple kindness—and let it steady and anchor your heart. Take a moment to ponder this idea as you celebrate Advent.
